Privacy Policy - anydoc.wiki
Last updated: August 12, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to anydoc.wiki ("this site"), the community documentation site for the anydoc open-source project. We take privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we process when you use this site and how we handle it.
2. Core promise: documents never leave your device
The online document converter on the home page runs on anydoc's official WebAssembly build. Conversion executes locally in your browser:
- Your document is never uploaded — conversion happens entirely on your device
- We cannot access your file contents — no collection, no storage, no analysis
- Conversion results live only in your browser — refresh the page and they're gone
This is anydoc's design principle (fully local conversion), and it's exactly why this site integrates the official converter.
3. What we collect
- Technical data: when you visit, the hosting provider may keep basic access logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for performance monitoring and security
- Local storage: this site does not use Local Storage for documents or conversion history; the theme may store a simple appearance preference (light/dark mode)
4. Third-party services
This site loads static assets through third-party CDNs (such as font providers), which may record basic request logs governed by their own privacy policies. When you follow links to external sites — GitHub, npm, PyPI, crates.io, skills.sh, Firecrawl — their respective policies apply.
5. Use of information
Any basic technical data we might obtain is used solely to: keep the site available, understand aggregate traffic to improve content, and comply with legal obligations. It is never sold or rented, and never used for anything else.
